Coffey Maintenance Services recently completed a major rebuild for an international manufacturing company in Auckland, New Zealand. This project consisted of drafting, manufacturing, demolition and installation of over 40 tonnes of structural steel. The drafting and manufacturing were completed in our facility in Emu Plains over a 6 week period. The demolition and installation were completed over a 10 week period in New Zealand.
Covid 19 presented us with some challenges with getting our people into New Zealand. As a result we reduced our initial crew down to 4 highly skilled project managers and engaged a local engineering firm who provided additional labour. Our team worked around the clock on 12 hour rotating shifts completing numerous toolbox talks, safety walks and progress meetings ensuring all aspects of the project were delivered safely.
